Our insurance covers:

: Your goods and possessions for fire, collision and overturning of our vehicle whilst in transit to the value of $35,000. If your goods are more than this, please advise PMR prior to the job being carried out so we can extend the cover for the transit of the goods.

: Theft pilferage or non- delivery

: Accidental loss or damage during loading and unloading is covered by our insurance policy, however, to make a claim.

 To be covered under our accidental damage insurance policy, any damage must be reported within 24 hours of the job being completed , with photos of before and after shots and sent to our email portmandurahremovals@gmail.com

Accidental Damage Insurance Coverage EXCLUDES

: The contents held within boxes packed by the owner/customer or any individual other than a PMR staff member.

: Any incident where the customer was involved in the lifting or carrying of goods or furniture.

: Any cash and jewellery.

: Any individual item in excess of $5000 value

: Appliance Failure internal electronics of an item, and internal mechanisms where there is no evidence of damage. TV’s must be shown in working order prior to the move.

: Public Liability insurance, third party property and motor vehicle insurance and carrier’s legal liability insurance.

THESE ARE THINGS NOT COVERED BY PMR

  1. Natural stone or stone statues or ceramic pot plants
  2. Solid marble or slate furniture such as solid marble dining tables or slate pool tables.
  3. Appliance failure where no evidence of external damage
  4. Fish tanks
  5. If the access is sufficiently bad that damage to furniture is probable or unavoidable or removalist will inform you before moving thee items and they will not be covered.
  6. We do not offer coverage for items that are poorly made or in bad condition, we do not cover IKEA or other furniture that requires assembly (D.I.Y), flat packed furniture that easily falls apart.
  7. Items that are damaged whilst being carried over uneven, difficult or steep terrain may not be covered.
  8. Items that are requested to be moved over balconies are moved at the customers own risk and are not covered.

If you would like to organise your own insurance

: you can do this through your current home insurance company or insurance broker.

How to make a claim

: notify PMR of damage, destruction or loss of items with in 24 hours of moving date in writing portmandurahremovals@gmail.com

With this notification a description of the damage in question should be provided, supported by any photos

PMR reserves the right to access the damage to the item.

 IF needed this will be requested to the customer and a suitable time agreed.

To establish market value, the customer needs to provide either:

: An invoice for the original purchase

: a quote for the replacement item or repairs of the damage

: PMR also reserves the right to seek quotations for the repair of damage or replacement of the item from our preferred suppliers if necessary and replace or fix the item.
